Skype Death Policy: How to Delete Skype Profile and Skype Name
The information provided in the profile is used to help other people on Skype find the user. If you want to remove a Skype Profile and Skype Name, it is best to manually delete all the information.
How to Delete Skype Profile
1. Sign into skype.com with username and password of skype ID
2. Under the ‘Account’ tab, scroll down and on left bottom corner, click ‘Profile Details’
3. Edit all information in Profile, including Phones, Email Settings, and Passwords so all fields are blank
This removes all identifying information except for the Skype Name. Skype says it is not currently possible to permanently delete your Skype Name, but deleting the profile information as described above ensures that other people using Skype cannot find the person using any personal information (like name or email address).
*Note: You can’t remove the Skype Name from other people’s contact lists, but will always appear ‘offline’.
