Match.com has a way to delete an account so other members cannot view the profile, but the profile will be saved in Match.com database so it can be reactivated at any time. If a user passes away, the company will block the account so it is no longer visible on the site.
How to Delete Match.com Account
1. On Match.com page, click the ‘Member Sign In’ link to login
2. Click the ‘Account’ link at the top of the page
3. Click ‘Change/Cancel Membership’
4. Enter password and click ‘Continue Cancellation’
5. Click ‘Cancel Membership and Remove Profile’
Again, this will block other Match.com users from viewing the profile, but it can be reactivated, so it is still in the Match.com system.
