Your family’s memories are digital. How will YOU protect them?

I Grew up right on the border of the “born digital” generation, the generation that grew up with computers, digital cameras, cell phones and ipods from very young ages. When I was born, my parents took photos with a film camera and videos with a traditional video camera that recorded video onto tapes. As I got older and digital cameras and digital video cameras came down in price, my parents upgraded to digital. All of our family photos and videos from about 2000 on are completely digital. Many people who have children 10 and under probably only used a digital camera to take photos of their children.
Over the last few years, my Mom has scanned all of our family photos from when we were growing up so that they are protected in digital format. She’s spent hundreds of hours making sure that our digital photos and videos are saved in a format so that we will be able to enjoy them as we get older.
As you can see, these photos are very important to my family. We needed a way to make sure that our entire family knows where the photos are and how to access them. Entrustet allows my mom and people like her to protect their sentimentally valuable family photos by keeping an up to date list of where these photos are located and the login and passwords necessary for someone to gain access to the photos in the event of their death.
At Entrustet, we believe that family photos should be passed from generation to generation. They are part of a family’s history and they should not be lost simply because someones heirs could not find where the photos were stored. Entrustet solves this problems to that families can be sure that their valuable family photos will stand the test of time and be around for the next generation.
